Arizona Wedding Magazine – Omni Tucson National Resort Cover

Omni Tucson National Resort has breathtaking views of the Catalina mountains and enchanting arches that reminded Molly Donovan, of Details by Molly Donovan, of Morocco. She added her own touches of bright colors and textures throughout her design to tie together modern spin on a classic resort, making it perfect inspo for any Tucson Wedding!
Modern Moroccan design showcased in this Arizona Wedding Magazine
As Molly Donovan of Details by Molly Donovan walked through the Omni Tucson National Resort to get ideas for this photoshoot, she was captivated by the many arches she saw. They reminded her of Moroccan architecture, and that became her starting point as she created this elegant, modern wedding design for our Arizona Wedding Magazine.
COLOR ME INSPIRED.
To get ideas for her color palette, Molly turned to the exquisite tilework Morocco is known for. She chose soft pastels, then added pops of bolder colors like gold and orange. Brie Dumais of Brie Dumais Designs did a phenomenal job of incorporating Moroccan flair into the invitation suite she created in soft tones of blue/gray and taupe.
ARIZONA WEDDING MAGAZINE – VOWS WITH A VIEW
Since the resort has amazing views of the Santa Catalina Mountains, Molly made sure they served as the backdrop for her ceremony site. To avoid blocking the view, Katie McClain of Posh Petals placed her romantic, meadow-inspired floral arrangements at floor level. She gave a whole new meaning to the term “flower box,” because these versatile arrangements were then easily repurposed for photos on the staircase and the dinner setting. The boxes are positively brimming with ranunculus, snapdragons, Combo roses, and other beautiful blooms.
DINING IS IN THE DETAILS.
Molly partnered with Bright Event Rentals to create a dramatic tablescape on the resort’s covered terrace. She started with a long farm table and black cane-back chairs, then set the table with delicately-scrolled white stoneware and gold-rimmed stemware to elevate the look. To continue the Moroccan theme, she added plenty of small, brass votives and vases along with tapers in various colors for a mix-and-match effect that’s right on-trend. She also added a few fresh pears for an extra splash of color.
TEXTURE TAKES THE CAKE.
Look at the incredible detail of the Moroccan tile-inspired design that Ambrosia Cakes applied to all four tiers of the wedding cake. With the addition of a single rose and a bit of greenery, it was ready for its close-up inside our Arizona Wedding magazine!
TRAINED TO BE STUNNING.
Molly made sure that the elegant lace gown she chose for our bride had a long train that could be displayed to full effect on the resort’s staircase. Our groom’s classic black tux was the perfect match to give this couple an absolutely timeless look. Molly’s “journey” to Morocco led her and her team to a very successful destination – this beautiful wedding design at this Tucson wedding venue.
